Principles
The FHM team and many others worldwide, have responded to the call of the Lord to continue His ministry expressed in Luke 4:18-19.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
Whilst we look to Jesus as being the Healer, we at FHM believe that the Lord calls us to be co-workers in the healing. We see ourselves as the facilitators, bringing the wounded to that place where they meet Jesus for ministry. It’s easy to see in the story of the paralysed man – he knew he needed help and the only way to get to Jesus was for his friends to carry him there.
For many of us the realisation that we are broken and need help comes first to our long suffering family, friends and colleagues. We are often the last to know. This is where our “Lazarus” illustration comes in (see John 11:38).

Prayer Ministries
It is a social and spiritual dialogue between the Prayer Ministers (who work in pairs) and a participant with the aim of providing understanding and choices for personal growth and healing.
The purpose of FHM’s prayer ministry is to unite people with Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, so that they may experience from Father God, healing and restoration which will then outwork in their lives and relationships.
Pass it on
We seek not only to minister, but to teach and equip, so that the disciple (follower, of Jesus) may be more effective in their own families, place of work, churches and fellowships.
Fruit and Roots
We understand the importance of listening and establishing the trust necessary to allow people to share their lives. Sensitive listening occurs in three ways; we listen with our minds; with our emphatic personal spirits; and with an ear to what God wants to tell us. Our listening results in information-gathering which will lead us to areas of woundedness, helping us to recognise fruit-to-root patterns.
More than Christian Counselling
Prayer ministry tackles issues beyond the scope of counselling such as generational sin, the occult, addictions, inner vows, lies, soul ties, the effects of Freemasonry, other cults and demonically influenced problems.
It’s scriptural
Based on the verse from James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
Forgiveness: A Valuable Gift
Forgiveness is the gateway to healing and wholeness!
Forgiveness is essential for life; it frees us from past wrongs and gives us hope for the future. When we forgive others, we too are free!
